International Japanese Restaurant Concept to Open at Artesia

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE International Japanese Restaurant Concept to Open at Artesia Scottsdale continues to gain clout as food destination with Roka restaurant SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (November, 2007) – Roka, an award-winning London-based restaurant featuring thoughtful interior design and contemporary Robatayaki cuisine, announces the opening of its first U.S. location at Artesia in Scottsdale. Set to open in January 2008, the Scottsdale Roka will emulate the London location in ambiance and Japanese cuisine, while also offering design modifications and menu dishes uniquely its own. Designed by Noriyoshi Muramatsu and award-winning Japanese design firm Super Potato, the restaurant will feature tables and a Robata grill counter made from reclaimed wood with natural edges. Stone and other wood elements flanked by soft lighting from Washi paper lamps create a polished, yet natural and inviting feel. An open charcoal-fire Robata grill anchors Roka’s dining room and provides inspiration for many of the dishes on its menu. “We are thrilled to be bringing Roka to Artesia,” said Rob Lyles of Starpointe. “The. food is phenomenal and so unique. There isn’t anything like Roka anywhere in Phoenix.” Roka is one of several new restaurant concepts that Starpointe Communities is bringing to Artesia. Located on Scottsdale Road just north of Indian Bend, Artesia is located on 44 prime acres and blends luxury residential, high end retail, parks and nature into an affluent living experience.
